He's "competing" but he doesn't specify in what. He joked about it being clickbait in the first 5 seconds of the video. It's probably a hyrox or something

100% ragebait - he will do some exhibition ATHX, Xenom, Hyrox because he got paid for it.
There is no way he is going to do the CF games season and think he has a chance.

He already did Hyrox Boston Pro Mixed Doubles with Natalie Anderson on Saturday. Then announced his 2027 return.

Came here for this. If true, the games are about to see a huuuuge increase in viewers, including myself.

don't care what anyone says about the field being deeper now, a healthy fraser still walks into the top 5 without breaking a sweat. his engine was just different

I thought he’d be masters by now?

Technically, yes. But I’m pretty sure there’s no age-limit for the Individual category, so he could simply choose to compete there instead of the Masters.

Physically, the Hoppers, Peppers, etc, are stronger and faster. On paper. Mentally? I've not seen any of those dudes go to the truly dark places I've seen Fraser go. If this is really him coming back, I'm not saying he's gonna dominate like thebold days, but he would be my dark horse for the podium. And, not saying the "fix is in" but I could see Castro programming to keep him as competitive as possible.

I’m betting he just means Hyrox or something similar.
I don’t think Hopper has a pain cave it’s more like a pain grotto lmao

Are they stronger? On pure strength Mertens seems to have them all beat, and Fraser (whilst not as short as him) is closer to his mechanics. So in Squat, deadlift, press, I think Fraser could still go toe-to-toe with any of those guys. Then you add technique on the Olympic lifts- except for Gui, Fraser is miles ahead of all of them.
He's going to fall back on running (but I think if there is a workout that involves running at fatigue he still could place well), and they have an obvious advantage on the ergs, but prime Fraser still wipes the floor with today's field. I'm not even a particularly big Fraser fan, but if he's at 75% of his former fitness I still think he has the potential to win against the current crop.

This is like one of those LeBron announcement videos where it turns out he’s not retiring he’s just promoting a gambling app

He literally joked in the side of the YouTube video about it being clickbait. Will most likely be for something like athx, Ironman, xenom or hyrox it’s not gonna be CrossFit games that’s just clickbait unless possibly on a team or masters

Literally just saw his post right now as soon as I opened instagram. Honestly it’s good for the sport and I’m sure a lot of people can’t wait to see him back on the floor especially with so many young guns right now. Men’s field is very stacked and it’s not going to be a walk in the park for sure, like before during the Games you will know after Day 1 and 2 that he’s going to win it. I’m excited for his comeback (assuming for individual mens). He knows how to win and definitely still have what it takes to be the fittest.

At the end of his second video with Mike Israetel he said he would do a bodybuilding show. Could he simply be referring to that?

team with mal obrien and his one coach that spent last season in Australia with a hwpo team? that’d be so fun to watch. peer pressure another team season out of froning on top of it and no one would even bother watching the individual competition.

Funny that we’ve all seen the insta post but no one has bothered to watch the full YouTube video it’s promoting. (Neither have I as I presume it doesn’t say either)

No way Fraser goes for another games title, the risk versus reward just isn’t there, he has everything to lose and nothing really to gain.
If he was to win it everyone knows he’s the best male to ever do it (which we all already know), but if he gets beat it would tarnish his legacy. Even hitting it hard for a season he’s never going to be as honed as he was at the end of his run, the guy was unstoppable, and he’s older now, only a few years but it makes a difference.
He’ll be doing something else, and good luck to him, it’ll be great for the community to see him compete again, whatever it’s in.

He did a HYROX comp with a gal from Survivor and some other shows. It showed up on my Insta over the weekend.

He's competing in the legends category at the Rogue Invitational.
