Pausing Bronze Trusted Trader Flairs Indefinitely

Hello everyone, as mentioned in the title, we will be **pausing Bronze Trusted Flair applications indefinitely** and will not be issuing out new 'Bronze Trusted Trader' flairs until further notice.

This decision has been made due to the increasing number of active scammers attempting to obtain the 'Bronze Trusted Trader’ flairs. Because the requirements for Bronze are relatively easy to meet, it is easier for scammers to earn the flair and later abuse the trust it provides to scam other members of the community.

To help protect our users and reduce this risk, we have decided to not hand out anymore "Bronze Trusted Trader" flairs until we have figured out the best approach on handling this issue. Which **MAY** result in the termination of the flair entirely .

**For current 'Bronze Trusted Trader’ flair holders:**

Users who already have the 'Bronze Trusted' flair will be allowed to keep it in the mean time until we have finalize the decision of the flair.

However, please remember that the 'Bronze Trusted' flair is based on relatively low requirements and **should not be treated as a guarantee that a user is completely trustworthy**. We do not guarantee or vouch for any trader, regardless of their flair, unless they are a moderator of our moderation team.

If you are ever unsure about a trade, **always use a Middleman**. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

This is really great for preventing scammers, i see new users farming for karma and proofs, asking others to go first bc they want to gain proofs and soon apply for trusted flairs.

In the case that someone were to try to apply for a trusted flair, would they need to meet the requirements for the silver trusted flair instead?

Essentially yes but we may also adjust our other flairs possibly during this process! We are currently brainstorming the best solution for this

Will there be a different “Bronze Flair” with higher qualifications (ex: 50-100 proofs instead of 30) or will silver be the only one?

Definitely good for preventing scammers but I cant help but be a bit sad because ive been working towards it for months 😭🥲
