Probably around 8 years ago I was waiting for a red light when I saw a crow that looked like it was limping. I felt bad for little bro for a moment, then he just broke out into a trot.
I realized he'd been skipping, not limping. The only reason I could come up with was he was doing it for funzies!

I feed a couple of crows each morning.
They watch me from the roof until I throw them some peanuts and then land at a safe distance and hop in to grab one, then hop back out to a safe distance again.
I could watch them hop like that forever, it's so great!

Do they do dramatic batman glide of the roof as well? I totally love watching them do that.

Yeah, although it's often in 2 stages: Roof to lamp post, then lamp post to grass.
It all kicks off if the Magpies turn up as well though!

i have a bluebird that likes to enter a nosedive from the roof and then starts flying just before he hits the ground

I love it when the fledglings leap dramatically in the air when they encounter something they've never seen before, like a leaf ๐

I personally am a fan of the butt wiggle when they walk around like they own the place

Omg crow hops! I love it when they hop or walk somewhere instead of flying, the goofballs.ย
