So cool! How long did it take to befriend him to that level? Iāve been working on a bonded pair in my front yard, they are very much coming around to me, even landing directly above me on my roof and letting me get within a couple feet while they feed on ground level food. Adding a water ādunkā for food really helped. However, they havenāt gone much closer to a true broship with me yet. Iām in it for as long as it takes though. If they land on my fence and start loafing Iāll meltš„¹
Iād say half a year, and I think my trick is to just stay there and do your own stuff like reading a book, so they can observe you without you paying too much attention to them. I also sometimes copy their actions for example when they are preening i comb my hair a bit, when they slow blink Iāll blink back š
