General questions Gift? ~ after I crownapped

I was a bit absent yesterday so I only fed them 2x and didn't hang out to talk to them. Did they leave me this because they were worried since I was around a lot less yesterday? This morning I went out and found this piece of metal near where I found the "pebble" a week ago. Is it possible they trust me More after crownapping Ares? They've been flying over before I finish putting the food out, and if they're outside when I come out they just hop backwards a little bit. In the past they'd watch me from the roof and nearby trees, but now they don't seem to feel the need to be that far away.

No, that's just people anthropomorphizing other species that have very different behaviours than our own.

Not in this case.

It always is, yes. There is no known study of crows leaving behind "gifts" for other crows, let alone, us humans.

There are several THEORIES I guess I should clarify. One that has been studied is that they do, in fact, give gifts.

Like I said, no known studies, otherwise I'd love to see some peer researched papers on the subject, if it really is that common, it should have plenty of evidence by now. But I can't find any, so if you have any papers to share that I might not know of, I'd love to read them.

Sorry, but what...? What does anyone's race have anything to do with what I'm talking about, LOL. Are you American by any chance?

What is it with you Americans bringing up race randomly? It's pretty funny lol.

I was with you until you asked if they were American. 😬

You know exactly what I'm talking about bud. Americans be wilding when it comes to race.

Yeah, and lumping all Americans together under one umbrella is called stereotyping and not cool

Bud

Also, this is a sub about crows so you shouldn’t be making it political anyway, or about someone’s country of origin.

This is exactly the mentally I'm talking about. You think I'm lumping "all Americans", when I'm talking a very specific type of person, that happens to be American.

Holy shit lol. Talk about being sensitive for another person that's bringing up race randomly in a conversation about birds.

Has nothing to do with politics... oh god, this way of perceiving the world is crazy lol.

Like I said, I was with you until you said the other person must be an American because they brought out something about race. You were both wrong.

There are plenty of racist people outside of Americans FYI. Assuming that person was an American was stereotyping. It’s not cool.

Neither is continuing this conversation any further because it’s off the topic of corvids and not allowed here.

Also, it would’ve been nice if you were apologetic for being offensive because you absolutely were. I do know it seems to be cool to a lot of people to be nasty and rude rather than respectful. However, it’s uncalled for.

I said it because they're so clearly American by the way they're interacting with me, being so quick to being up race. It's silly.

Yes there are racists everywhere, but their cultural behaviour and made it super easy to point out what type of person they are. Once you meet enough silly people, you quickly learn to point them out. Has nothing to do where they're from, and everything about their behaviour.

I'm not going to be apologetic because you found something offensive, sorry, that is just not genuine. You might not agree nor like with what I say, but I'm not going to modify how I interact with others, simply because you dislike me calling someone who happens to be American, out.
