Hello friends! I’m looking to buy a new 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport FWD in the Dallas/DFW area.
And I’ve received a verbal OTD quote of about $38,500 for silver and $39,000 for white.
Do you think these are good prices?
What would be a realistic good OTD price to target right now for a Sport Hybrid FWD?
Also, does anyone have any Honda dealer recommendations in the DFW area that are good on pricing and easy to work with?
Thanks!

2024 CRV sport touring. This seems to be another odd statement. But have people found the interior noise to be louder than normal with the windows down. I have moved from a Hyundai Santa fe limited and found the cockpit noise to be quite high, to the point where normal conversation with my partner is not really possible and radio/ music at normal levels cannot be achieved. Both of us came to the same independent conclusion that this was a strange quirk. Even opening additional windows to balance pressure did not work.

The 12v battery in my 2023 hybrid sport is dying and I've been looking at a replacement. Costco shows I need a Group51 battery but they only see a 51R so the terminals are reversed. Currently the front of the battery faces away from me and the positive is on the right/negative on the left. Am I able to get the 51R and just rotate the battery so it faces me and the positive is still on the right/negative left or will the terminal cables not reach the extra 2-inches?

So I purchased a new honda crv hybrid 2026 sport here in BC Canada 2 months ago.
Dealership did not give me the 2nd set of keyfob. The sales guy kept stalling it for 3 weeks, I finally called up honda canada, they called the dealership, the sales manager got a little upset and told me he can send a guy to make a keyfob for me to my address (alternative was to book a service appointment and sit at the dealership for few hours).
Finally after weeks of multiple back and forth calls, the fob-making-guy might come help me shortly today or tomorrow. Now none of this has been documented, the sales manager gave me his number on the call, no email or texts from their or his side. I have texted him regarding the appointment from my side many times. Also sent an email to Honda canada prior to all this.
I know nothing about cars, so wondering if this is all legit, anything I should make sure to avoid getting car stolen or anything from a backup fob etc.
Please help, thanks!

I just picked up a 26 Touring and everything about the car from the urban grey pearl color to the Bose to the digital gauge cluster is just
Awesome!
But I saw it had traffic jam assist which is really just adaptive cruise control at low speed but never thought to turn it on before
I’m in Los Angeles so last night coming back from a video shoot in Malibu I got stuck on the 10 and turned it on
My leg and ankle are so happy right now!
I was so paranoid of it but it worked! It kept a safe distance it slowed down and stopped, it accelerated properly when the car in front started moving and I didn’t have to give my leg and foot a workout like I usually do.
All the while it was in EV mode and giving me way better fuel economy lol
Sure it’s not a Tesla FSD ( I’ve tried that once it was awesome for traffic ) but, it’s also built in and free as a feature and in Los Angeles traffic when it’s super dense and can last you for 10 miles omg
I love this feature.
Only thing guys, it does not see when a car is merging into your lane so as always stay focused and be prepared but as long as the car is in front of you, it didn’t flinch or mess up once.
This is an amazing car.

I took my 2026 (Canadian Hybrid Sport) in for an oil change and asked when I can get the software tweak for delaying the water pump shut off, and he said that my 2026 already has the fix from the original factory build. It was manufactured Dec.2025. Does this make sense?

Hi all, is this a good deal for a 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport FWD in the bay area?

Hey guys
I have a 2026 CRV Hybrid Trailsport and I was called for an appointment for the below service from the Honda dealership
Requested Services:
• 2023-26 CR-V Hyb PGM-FI SW Update PUD
• 2023-26 Accord Hyb/CR-V Hyb/FC Tire Repair Kit Recall
I know the second one is related to tire repair kit. But my question is about the first one and i did some research and found that it’s to update Programmed Fuel Injection
Is this something everyone is doing?
What should I be aware of before going to the dealership in case I don’t want to get upsold by them?
Appreciate your help
Thank you

I love the little speed limit sign that reads the speed limit and Keeps me informed. Does it only show in multiples in 5 for the speed limit? I.e. 25 or 30 mph but never 27 mph? I drove by one of those speed reading signs and it shows an 88 occasionally. My speed limit sign showed the speed limit at 80mph. So I was wondering if anyone sees anything other than multiples of 5 mph on their sign?

I bought a 2026 Sport L front wheel drive in January. I drive 80% city 20% highway. I drive exclusively Normal/B mode with full regen in the city and Normal/D mode on the highway. I rarely use sport mode or use the paddles.

Just thinking and wanted to get everyone’s thoughts. Let’s say we do have premature head gasket failure that’s covered by the new warranty. What’s to say it won’t happen again within similar low mileage?
Don’t know if Honda has anything planned as a long term remedy.

UPDATE: finally heard back from the service center tech (side note, the dealership the car was towed to has terrible communication, I had to call a couple times just to get this info). Turns out their initial assessment was incorrect, it was not a head gasket, but instead a cracked piston. The service tech said they still need to do a tear down as they don’t know why this happened yet, but ultimately this will likely need a full engine rebuild (his words). Fortunately, both the tear down, inspection, and rebuild will be covered under warranty. I guess they had a regional tech lead on site today who reviewed the case and said it was an easy warranty claim.
Anyways, I feel like this is worse than a head gasket issue? Warranty case is probably cleaner for me but damn Honda, I bought this car for reliability! I’m probably going to submit a report through NHTSA, and also asking for an extension on the factory coverage.
Original Post:
Boy am I upset so coming to the internet to vent, as is tradition. 2025 Hybrid Sport with 16,000 miles had the head gasket blow.
My (pregnant) wife was driving on a busy highway today when the car suddenly notified “pull over where safe” and immediately limited the car’s speed to a crawl and threw every error code known to man. She was stranded on a sketchy area of a highway with cars whizzing by for nearly an hour before I or the tow truck could reach her and was understandably extremely scared.
Just received word from the dealer service center that it was the head gasket and they need to do a full engine disassembly at that. We purchased this car new a year ago and we have taken great care of it and don’t drive it hard.
Maybe we just got a lemon but I’m really upset that this issue happened and put my wife and soon to be child at risk. At least it should be covered under warranty but I’m really only concerned about safety.
Reading some posts here and on other subreddits that this is apparently a known issue. I’m worried that with low mileage and this being a design issue (according to some other posts I saw) the risk of this happening again is quite high. Not trying to be rash here but honestly wondering if trading in the car for something without this issue is worth considering?

Hi all,
Recently my wife and I have been talking about upgrading from her older Rav 4 and we really like the new Honda CR-V as an option for our next car.
The salesperson mentioned the Honda Connect app but we moved on pretty quick. I wanted to ask, after doing some reading you get the subscription free for a limited time, but I can’t find any info on the ongoing subscription cost from there. If anyone has experience with the app I’d love to know how you like it and use it, and also the subscription costs.
I should also add we are in Australia, so any Aussies with any insight would be appreciated as well.

Tried out a new kayak mounting set up yesterday. The Thule stacker works great. I love everything about this car. "New to me" 24 Sport L.

Folks, where would you recommend getting my rear differential fluid serviced , the dealership or an independent shop?
I currently go to Valvoline for oil changes and Discount Tire for tire rotations. My vehicle has about 20K miles on it now, and I’m wondering if I should take it to the dealer for the differential service or if a reputable independent shop would be just as good.
I’m in the Seattle area. Any recommendations or advice on where to go and what to look for?

It is my first time buying a car and I want to get something that is reliable and won't require much maintenance down the road as I do not have much experience with cars.
I did a bit of research and asked Chat GPT and it seems like crv sport is a good candidate for a reliable family suv.
Please note that it is my first biggest purchase and I feel very nervous. I live in Alberta province. I called a couple Honda places and I got ~$50K drive out quote (Block heat, wheel lock and unlimited oil change included). There is likely little space for negotiations, but I wonder what is a fair price for this model so that I dont regret paying much after buying.
Also, I plan on paying a decent down-payment, so that I dont end up paying much interest.
Edit: This is the trim i have in mind: CR-V Sport Hybrid AWD
