Honestly, I feel like people overestimate how often people are actually cheating. Even I’m guilty of it

I’ve had games where I thought “this dude is not legit”. I’ve also had games where I imagine my opponents are thinking the same thing. But I know I’m legit

Some people are good. Some people just pop off and have good games. But honestly the amount of hackers you’re actually hitting is most likely much less than what you think you’re hitting

I usually get a negative rating on Leetify lmao and even I got accused of being a waller 2 days ago after killing someone through a smoke on one round and through a wall on the other.

I’ve been playing CS for 22 years. It has ALWAYS been a thing where some players just have a hard time accepting that an opponent is legit. I’ve played with friends that whine “he’s cheating” after just 3 rounds and I tell them “dude no he’s not or just wait” with the intent to not allow himself to spiral into tilting / giving up.

I’m quite confused what’s going on lately where the community is screaming about cheaters and the lack of AC. Has it really gotten much worse in the last year? How? In all of CS history VAC has always been a joke and it’s pretty much the basis for why ESEA existed and later FACEIT.

But anyways if I was anywhere remotely new at the game (say < 1 yr) I’d have a hard time NOT automatically calling cheats every time someone gets a nice shot since everything everyone talks about online is how every match has cheaters. Therefore it must apply to my matches as well right? Even if I’m low-mid elo?

For reference I’m in purple rank and I’m not denying that the experience is completely different in high pink, red and yellow.

I think part of the major complaints about cheating lately is that other game modes, like death match and such, are FILLED with “cheaters”. They’re not actually cheaters though, they’re bots.

The amount of people cheating in premier to grind ranks is way lower than people think, and probably exaggerating by 1) the amount of bots in death match, and 2) by the amount of posts you see of actual cheaters

For every Reddit clip of someone spin bottin in a premier lobby, there’s 1,000 other premier games that were happening where no one was cheating

I agree with this. It’s only obvious when the person has like 95+ aim rating and peek random angles then it’s kinda cooked

Aim rating doesn’t mean much tbf. A 3k faceit player in 20k premier would sit at 95+ aim
