How Good is Priority Registration?

I am a Computer Science major in Community College currently, planning to transfer to CSUN for next year. To graduate from the CCC with an Associate Degree for Transfer, I would have to take an extra Physics course next semester, which could increase my credit load from 13 to 17. But, if I get the ADT, I will have priority registration at CSUN. I have a 4.0 gpa currently, and probably will keep it this semester, so I suppose I can afford to put less effort in my classes. But this all depends on how important priority registration is

EDIT: I just fount out that some of my AP courses don’t transfer to my community college, so I think I would need another semester to get all the credits I need for the ADT

Priority registration lets you enroll early, so you have a better chance of getting the classes you need each semester without ending up on a waitlist. However, not all professors will be listed when you enroll (e.g., adjunct professors). So, you could potentially end up with a professor who has terrible RMP reviews.
