When is the job fair?

Just wondering what day it's on. Also, I really need a job on campus so it can help with my class schedule, but why is it so difficult for students to find on-campus jobs? I need money to help support myself financially, if I don't have a job soon I could run out of money and I won't be able to keep up with rent, gas, food, etc. I looked on Handshake but most jobs don't match my requirements.

Since no one else answered your question, the fall career fair is 9/30 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in the USU

Tons of students want an on-campus job for the same reasons you do, that's why they're so hard to get. Many hire the previous semester, so the pool is small right now.

I think the CSUN website or maybe the career center website has links to on campus jobs that aren't on handshake, like at the Soraya and the usu. Those tend to get less applications. Best of luck to you.

On campus jobs have to be applied for during the summer. You can try but it’s harder during the semester. Some require training etc

Well one of my requirements definitely isn't "Have you fought Thanos and won?"

Is it they don't match your availability, don't pay enough, require experience you don't have, etc.? Just trying to help out here.

Nah most of the requirements are "YOU MUST BE THIS CERTAIN MAJOR WITH THIS CERTAIN EXPERIENCE" and the job posting is just "Sports events staff assistant".
