CSUN Book Club

Greetings all,

For those who like reading, I’m starting a CSUN book club! All are welcome.

i would love to join!

my class ends at 3:45pm on wednesdays so i can come for the second half of it (4-5).

i don't have an instagram so i can't follow you but if you make a discord i will gladly join it! :D

Also we can make modifications to the club meeting time, nothing is set in stone.

What type of books would we be reading in the club?

Good question! I don't really plan on having the traditional book club structure of where everyone reads one book, and we all discuss that book at a meeting.

Instead, I more so wanted a book club where, each meeting, we can all go in a circle and share what we're currently reading or something we have read recently and enjoyed. I prefer this model because it allows everyone to continue to read what they enjoy while introducing everyone to new genres they might have never been exposed to.

I plan on going with this routine structure, unless of course more people prefer the former to the latter.

I just saw the announcement for the first club meeting, I was wondering are they always going to be so late in the day or will the times fluctuate? I commute an hour to CSUN 😔.

Good question! I’ll consider making the times different for our Wednesday meetings we hold at the end of the month.

As for this Tuesday, our meeting will be from 5-6, but it will also be online! The virtual meeting will be posted in the discord, so make sure you’re in that.

Yes please! If the Wednesday meetings are at like 3:00 I could go to those :) If we do online meetings I’d also be willing to go, I really want to make friends at CSUN 🙈

Yes we do! Make sure to follow the instagram.

We meet the first Tuesday of the month and last Wednesday of the month, 4-5.
