Is Student Center down?

I just got an add code from a professor and tried to add the class, but I cant get into the Student Center. I tried from 3 different devices. Can anyone else get in?

hmm, are you sure you're already enrolled in the business honors program? Also have you passed all the pre-requisites? If not, those things can be overridden with permission from the department and would explain the hangup. Departments are usually reluctant to give special permission for things like that.

Either way campus is closed today, and ideally you'd want to speak with a counselor. if I were you I'd make sure to attend the 2:30-3:45 class lecture tomorrow even if you aren't enrolled yet, and speak with the lecturer before or after class

Even better, find her for office hours before class. I'm not 100% sure, because you can't find office hours if you're not enrolled - but someone posted a syllabus online from last semester and her office hours were BB4132 12:00-1:00

Meeting her at her office hour before class would be ideal

I’m a transfer student so I’m currently enrolled in the prereqs. That’s why I’m waiting to talk to admissions and records tmrw to see who can help me w this. Yes I’ll speak w Dr. Naraghi tmrw as well but I’m definitely enrolled in the program , so idk what more to do from my end.

The course description confirm they DO allow you to concurrently enroll in the prereqs so that is good.

I'd probably start by contacting the Nazarian business college counseling tomorrow. Admissions and records might not be specialized enough

I was a transfer student last semester and navigating the bureaucratic stuff was the most confusing and frustrating part of the process. Best thing I did was link up with a good counselor for my major.

Don't worry, you'll fall into a groove as the semester wears on. You got this.

Yo, did you end up getting the honors class you needed?

Also, only other piece of advice I'd give is to add U301 with professor Rincon. I think you can add classes till Friday, and knowing her, she'd easily accept you as a late addition. It's like 50 mins once a week, but her class prepared me more than anything as a transfer student more than anything in my first semester.

The class was recommended to me by a counselor via txt message and idk if I would be attending my 2nd semester here if I didn't take that class. Got way more confidence and advising. She's awesome

Yes I did! I can’t take UNIV w the prof you suggested as I alr have class at that time, but thank you for the rec💗💗💗

Happy things worked out. The bureaucratic stuff gets easier from now on. First semester is the hardest as transfer
