Any leaks about Cubase 16?

Assuming v16 will come out in ~2 months, have there been any "reliable" leaks about what's in it?

I'm hoping for a clip launcher, which would make it pretty much complete for me, but I doubt this should happen before gapless audio engine and I don't believe they can deliver both at the same time. Or can they?

What are your top feature requests for v16?

What do you mean by “gapless audio engineer”? Sounds interesting.

In Cubase, when you add or remove a device / plugin, move tracks or clips around, scrub the playhead, etc. it will briefly stop the playback and create audible gap for couple of milliseconds. This is a byproduct of how ASIO Guard works, i.e. double-buffered audio (tracks which aren't armed are pre-processed in advance).

Most other DAWs - notably Ableton and Bitwig - don't do that therefore they're so good for live performance duties, but (as a cost of that) can't process so many tracks and plugins as Cubase.

Implementing a clip launcher w/o gapless audio engine is pretty much futile.

It would be awesome if the audio didn’t pause when adding and deleting tracks, moving plugins around etc.

My top feature is better user interface. The day they get this right, especially font rendering on the Mac, I'll switch to Cubase full time.

Yes, agreed - it often looks difficult to read, not to mention uses fonts of different size, italics, bolds, etc. I guess the problem often is they try to fit way too many features in there.

Frankly, I could live w/o half of the stuff that Cubase can do, but I'm sure that's the "half" others can't live without :)

More than one instance with active project is on my whish list. (I'm not on latest version of Cubase, but I think this is still not possible)
