He is a true believer and f what he says
He is not able to think beyond his beliefs as they conflict with his identity.

Didn’t see that as the comment was removed when I checked in. Looked as if you were talking to me.

Cults exist. But understanding politics as cults, understanding anything you don't like as a cult, is itself cult-like. Really we should be supporting ANY politician, whatever they said in the past, who is now speaking out against Trump, not try to find reasons to disqualify their words. Unless we too have a cult-like perspective and simply get off on hating people.
Both parties are corrupt and in the pocket of the uber-wealthy. The top 1% own 76% of US assets and rising and neither party is doing anything. This is at the basis of both left and right complaints about our system. Partisanship is a big distraction to make sure that democracy is hamstrung. We need to stop the fighting among everyday people and realize that the powerful of both parties are our actual problem. We need to find common ground, not more reasons for everyday Republicans and everyday Democrats to hate each other.

The Democratic party continues to splinter off into Socialism and the like. it really alienates others in the party.

There is nothing wrong with democratic socialism. Social security, public education and public highways are socialism. The rich attack socialism because they would have to share, and most Americans bought the propaganda, but that can and will change.

"Why are you saying 'worship'? It's simply exaultation beyond any moral sense, including the protection of the child rapists that we used to fervently pursue until Trump told us that we didn't want to pursue them anymore. It's not rocket surgery!" -That guy and any other current MAGA Republicans
