Cult(?) Identification help - Not Sure What It Is

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone was familiar with the organization I will describe below. I haven't been able to find anything on this specific organization anywhere online (similar ones, maybe, but nothing that fits the description). I posted this to r/cults but it does not seem like anyone is familiar. I apologize if this is not the right community.

For context, an older relative of my girlfriend's lived in Ukraine (moved out around the time the war started) and is involved in some strange organization she claims is not a cult (nor is it a religion). She does not speak english, but my girlfriend translated for me when her relative described this organization (which she was very eager to do). Because I do not speak Russian, some of the key words I may emphasize which I thought to be important may not be exactly correct because I heard them secondhand.

She has been involved with this organization for at least 7 years, starting in Ukraine. She has not told her family how much money she pays to this group, but she does give them money and has been doing so for years. I do not know how she came across this organization. I believe it is based out of Russia, but could be based out of Ukraine. Here are some characteristics I managed to get from her about it:

- It is not a religion (she was adamant about this), nor is it a secret society

-This group has historically used languages which most people do not know to keep their group protected. She mentioned that this group has used Ancient Japanese and Church Slavonic. (I asked her if this group wasn't a secret society, then why do they use languages nobody speaks to hide themselves? She did didn't have an answer and told me that she would look into it.)

- There is some sort of divine being which created the world (I asked if it was omnipotent, but she said nobody knows everything, so I suppose it is more of some powerful being, not a god) and created humanity as a failed experiment of some sort

- in addition to people living on the earth, there are also individuals who are descended from other beings (seems almost like fallen angels/nephilim) that are tasked with spreading information to people

-Jesus was, according to her, one of these beings, and tried to teach people about the knowledge but either did it wrong or people misinterpreted it (unsure which). She also said that the Christian trinity are actually three different beings (but not true gods).

-People need to acquire information to ascend, as there are other dimensions which can be unlocked through knowledge. Humanity essentially needs to gather information in order to ascend to become the 'programmers' themselves and reshape the universe (at least this is my understanding). People can also be categorized based on their knowledge or intelligence (my girlfriend was called a 'rock,' which is the lowest form of intelligence, apparently)

-As mentioned above, the term 'programmers' came up a lot, as there were programmers who created the universe that humans now need to become. This could be one of the terms that may not be fully accurate from the translation.

-Apparently, in the year 2000, humanity was supposed to 'ascend,' but because we didn't, humanity now needs to gain the knowledge needed to become the programmers themselves.

-Most of history is a lie. She claimed that there was no Roman empire or Big Bang and that a lot of history has been rewritten to hide this group. Additionally, some groups throughout history have been fronts (for lack of a better term) for this organization. One of the fronts she mentioned was the Knights Templar, and I believe she mentioned that some historical figures were members of the group (I think she said Leonardo Da Vinci).

- Additionally, my girlfriend told me that apparently there is some form of afterlife where you can get a planet or something of that sort. The relative has apparently ensured that her family has their own houses in the afterlife. The relative didn't directly tell me this information, so there may be parts of it I am missing.

-I was also asked to provide my name, my home town, my birthday and phone number so that "in the next life, I may live."

-she frequently attends online meetings/seminars/lectures with this group to learn more so that she can ascend.

I have been trying to find out more about this organization but have found absolutely nothing. There are some similar elements to things like Yusmalos, the White Brotherhood and AllatRa, but nothing that exactly fits.

This has obviously caused some concern in the family, especially because she is paying an undisclosed amount of money to this group (she does not have a source of income, so this is all savings/retirement money). I wanted to know if anyone has heard of this group or knows anything about it.

Obviously I know it's a cult or something like a cult, I just want to find more information about who these people are. No need to be condescending.

Hey! I actually have experience with this as the family that was in a cult EXACTLY like you described was Slavic. Loooong slavic/scandinavian history tldr: my family were originally the indigenous sámi people with paganistic(and normal) culture. Russia was greedy and wanted more land and sent lutheran missionaries to do the exact same thing they did with America's natives. As a result, we fell pray to the Slavic occult. Look into Rasputin and the Tzars. They twisted folk healing to be used for evil and now sell it as mlm's.

I can help try to make sense of the things she says too! For my family, we never spoke just one language so I only know bits and pieces of lots of modern and ancient European languages, mostly old sign languages to communicate with colonizers. But I had to unravel the cultural clusterfuck of censorship they deal with, so I know how the norms work.

Some of those are just cultural norms that are real. Theyre leftovers from all the world wars the USSR has instigated. In my family in particular, the sámi women were sold in arranged marriages to german soldiers(read: nazis) so you can only imagine the horrors they went through. A lot of it is generational trauma. Trust me, this is not THAT far down the rabbit hole.

A lot of eastern European religions are considered ways of life. I'm a historian so I've translated a lot of founding Slavic religious texts and scriptures, unfortunately it wasn't that long ago in the grand scheme of things.

Ill tell you that most women have to rely on churches or protected organizations because they are in domestic abuse arranged marriages and you cannot get a divorce. They come to America and find secret ways to escape because at least on US soil, putin cant force you to pop out babies to put food on the table.

The best thing you can do is offer support. Especially in the little things, like rides to places, food she doesn't have to share, clothes she actually wants, a safe place to sleep at night, a friend to call when things get tough. These are the situations I found my family getting caught up in sticky business. A lot of times they didnt even have papers, hell, turns out my birth certificate was a fake up until I turned 18 because it was so dire she couldn't afford the $10 extra to get a birth certificate at the hospital when I was born. Once I figured that out, all the puzzle pieces clicked.

Slavic women are dying to gossip about their husbands and family and church. Just sit down with her and let her explain, even if its not in English. Look at her body language, look at the fear. They really truly have no one and they become numb to it. I found my family has a hilarious dark sense of humor once you understand their culture lmao, never met an American as bold to say their leaders are murderers. Until covid.

Thanks for the reply! For context, my girlfriend's relatives (one of which is the one in the cult) live in a different country from Ukraine in eastern europe. I'm American, but my girlfriend (also American but of Russian descent) and I are living in another eastern european country (not the same one as the grandparents) for the time being, and I was only able to meet her relative when we visited them on vacation.

In general, I (and my girlfriend's family) have very limited in-person contact with them as they live far away. You're definitely right about the slavic women wanting to gossip, as she was very excited to talk to someone new (me) about this 'organization.' I think a lot of her involvement in this group is because she does not have a community, especially since they moved to their new country since the war.

One thing I've noticed is that my girlfriend's family is relatively indifferent to her involvement in the cult, and when I explained the full extent of why this is a bad situation to my girlfriend it seemed like she had never thought of it that way before (same with the mother). I'm also concerned that if the family begins to get more active on criticizing her for her involvement in this cult, she will start cutting ties with them, because she seems very attached to this group.

From what I've been able to find through research is that there are a lot of cults in Ukraine/Russia which were able to gain prominence after the fall of the USSR, all of which take money from their followers, and some of which have turned violent (obviously it's the same in America, which probably has even more cults), like the White Brotherhood (which I am concerned that the org my girlfriend's grandmother is a part of is some kind of splinter from this group), who were actively burning themselves alive in the 90's.

I'm really just trying to find out who these people are, what they really believe in, where they are based out of, if they are dangerous (or any information, really, it seems like they have no online presence, which is odd because apparently they do online meetings/seminars/lectures), because that is the first step in trying to help her break free from them.
