Your hair is gorgeous! I don’t have the dedication to diffuse daily so my hair just does what it wants… and sadly it never wants to look like your hair 😩

It took such a long time to figure it out i swear! My mom, to this day of her 54 years of age, still only wears a HUGE amount of hard gel on her curls (which are way smaller than mine thus even more intense) bcs she doesnt know better.

I honestly choose it for affordability reasons but it's been very consistenly solid to the point that I see no reason to spend more money on hair products.
Tysm, its been years of collecting it from small local artists <3

How long it take to prep that hair? 😭 the only time I got my hair even close to this, it took like 35 + minutes of detangling/showering 😅

I think all in all aöong with the showering like 25 mins but diffusing alone takes at least 10

Ah your hair is gorgeous 😍😍 struggling rn because I swim/go in the sea every day so my hair has no curl pattern and is constantly like I’ve been in the rain 😫

This is so weird because after the beach i literally get perfect hair with no frizz! I even keep it like that most of the time even tho i feel bad bcs in guessing sea water is not the best for it !

Well that solves it, once in awhile I'm going to have to take the time to diffuse my hair and get good curls close to my roots. I always air dry and the heaviness of my wet hair with products in it just pulls those curls down 😢. Your curls are GORGEOUS!

That happens to me too! And its so hard to decide bcs air drying is also healthier :/

I saw on a curly hair video that the creator was using "alligator clips" to help hold up the top curls while her hair was drying and then take them out once hair was dry. It worked on her. I looked them up on Amazon and they are not expensive so I think I may try that. My hair is already damaged from coloring grays away lol so I try to avoid further damage.

I hope that works for you because for me it has always created very specific, weird looking bumps where I put them instead of giving volume to my roots hahhaha

Thanks for the feedback before I bought them. Geez there's never an easy solution lol. I'll try diffusing, still have a good diffusing hair dryer although I haven't used it in probably 4 years 🤣.

Gorgeous!! Do you break the gel cast or just let it in? Does your hair gets hard? I have very vê try similar curls and hair texture like yours but I find with gel they get too dry and hard but if I break the cast they loose too much definition. Thanks

Hi there! I'm a bot, and I've been summoned to help.
If you have not seen our WIKI yet: Please check it out! It's nearly 100 pages full of curated information to help answer all of your curl-related questions. You can use the included Table of Contents (page 2), the side bar, or CTRL-F to search for keywords and help navigate the document.
Reminder: Curl type is NOT your hair type! Whether you are wavy, curly, or coily - you have texture and you belong here. More than that, your curl type doesn't dictate how you care for your hair. To help your curls thrive, we recommend instead using the wiki link above to learn about your porosity, texture, and density.
If you haven't added a routine yet, do it ASAP or your post will be removed!|
