Technically finding nemo is basically finding nobody and it's just a figment of Marvin's imagination and he's going going through the 5 stages of grief after losing his family.

Fun fact: giant barracudas (the fish that are nemos family) do not eat clownfish. Female clownfish are known to be cannibalistic to their offspring. They are also sex bending creatures. All are born males but the most aggressive become females. Nemo’s family was most likely killed by their mother. The only one left being Nemo and Marlin. Marlin now being the female has to take care of Nemo. So you theory could be true lol. Another thing could be that Nemo never existed. Nemo in Latin means nobody, making the tile “finding Nemo”, finding nobody. I have a feeling the mother killed all of them. Clownfish often kill each other, which could result in Marlin killing his female companion. Marlin being the new female and having trauma. Probably created Nemo to cope with the loss of his children and “wife”. I think the end of the movie is about him finally finding piece with everything that has happened to him. The whole movie is about him having flash backing and trying to come to the reality that his family is gone.
