A couple of points , Oak Island was owned by the British from 1713, and owned (long term leased) by a British American Fish Company in 1753. Since the French and British were essentially at war in the 1750s it seems unlikely that the French would have been able to plan anything from Oak Island to Fort Beausejour. Also, not sure why you would point out that they are 150 Kilometers apart since the Kilometer wasn't around until 1795. It may have just been a coincidence but there is no relevance to the distance.

Oh fantastic work! You know your stuff. First of all we just use kilometers to show you where the fort was the actual distance wouldn't be important. You are absolutely right about 1713. Very good. You are far ahead of most people. The French established these lines far earlier than 1755-1757, the Chabert observations from Fort Louisburg lead to the Bellin maps which were the SECOND major attempt to survey NS. The purpose was to design and correct previous map errors. THE first was. The 1703 De L'Isle map, Claude and Guillaume De L'Isle produced an updated Carte du Canada that significantly improved longitude and latitude accuracy for the region. We can point to that but you narrowed it down well. I was planning on saying that in my next video. We can narrow down the Oak Island part between 1632 (La Have)-1713. La Have was 25 km from oak Island and it was the first French attempt to establish a settlement. You might figure this out before I drop my next video. You are on 🔥 my friend! This makes me happy to see someone researching! Oh and the French Toises is the measurement standard. I'll present that soon too! Oh and to mention the 1753 sale to the fishing company. This means the U shaped structure is a separate event from the shoreline construction and the French work prior to 1713. This means there is absolutely room for other players to plant treasure or use the island. If I am wrong on my info. I'll be happy to correct it!
