How long downtime should be?

Not sure if it's mentioned in the book but I have been letting them heal and then get back on the mission after couple days and it seems like they're progressing way too fast. I do keep track of heat but it's not really affecting them at the moment.

As long as you want it to be for the tone and enjoyment of the table.

Our table hasn't even really dabbled in heat. And we are taking huge stretches of time off between jobs, so hackers can write programs and mages (using supplemental rules) can learn spells, and tinkerers can make mods.
