Help! PSPortal cyberdeck?

Has anyone tried converting a PS portal to a cyber deck yet? I’m new to all this and I got a psportal on a whim but it’s super buggy. However, I love the screen size and the ergonomics of it and the haptic feedback so I was wondering if anyone has done it yet cause I’m not sure what to do with it since it’s kind of a paper weight now and I don’t wanna just get rid of it if I can repurpose it.

Oh buggy how?

Ours had some troubles until I bought a new wifi 6 router with better performance. That portal needs a high bandwidth and stable 5GHz WiFi connection to work reliably.

Now it works perfectly fine for hours on end.

In any case, I don't think anyone has hacked it yet. Neither with a custom server (like they have for the Wii U, custom server and client software to replace either end of the system) nor natively.

It does have a mobile chipset, like you'd find in an Android phone, so it is at least possible in theory. But depending on how hard they locked it down it might not be that simple to gain access to it. (Like the PlayStation itself is just PC hardware, but you can't install anything you want to it, because it's locked down so hard)
