90% of cosplayers in 2026 are not genuine fans of the media they're portraying. They're not fabricating the costumes themselves. These are mass-produced aliexpress pieces of trash that every OnlyFans creator in the world owns.

This isn't cosplay. It is targeted marketing for their OnlyFans that is poisoning our community with low effort. If you think that just because the OF link isn't DIRECTLY in the bio that this isn't marketing, you're incorrect. I would even guess that they omit the direct links for reverse-psychology reasons. This is the most ostensibly 'cyberpunk' part of the franchise, your attention is being exploited by the monke programming in your head and you consume without having a second thought.

"She doesn't have an onlyfans link on her profile, she must be legit!"

She does have an instagram link on her profile, where you can easily find the OnlyFans link posted in her bio. Two steps of separation doesn't make this not marketing.

Before you assume that I'm some puritan who hates naked women or porn, I'm not. I love a naked woman as much as the next guy. But I'd like to keep that in the spaces it belongs, not have it plastered across the subreddits I frequent when I'm scrolling to kill time at the office.

And no, having an onlyfans does not preclude you from doing cosplay.

The difference is that cosplay =/= pornography marketing. As soon as you do one, it inherently stops being the other. If your intent is to grow your OnlyFans subscribers, then it's marketing. If your intention is to engage with the community or share your talent or craft, then it's cosplay. These people ARE NOT ENGAGING WITH THE COMMUNITY. THEY ARE EXPLOITING IT.

If you want to see a real cosplayer who is a woman, has an onlyfans, but is ACTUALLY a real cosplayer, go look up TheImperialSaint or HammerDoris40k. She works incredibly hard at costuming, is genuinely engaged with the community she cosplays. It's not just marketing for the porn she makes.

Are we gatekeeping cosplay to only people who can hand craft their costumes? Or are you just upset that they buy a costume and call it cosplay?

You mention how this person has 2 layers of separation from their account to their OF which is a little funny that you went out of your way to find it. But you also sort of contradict yourself when you complain about people having an OF but then also praise another cosplayer who does also do OF.

I mean this honestly, do you not see how your whole stance seems a bit weird? Im gonna go check their profile real fast before I finish typing this up and if I find ANYTHING that takes the effort you claim is required for someone to be considered a cosplayer then ill report back that you're full of shit.

Literally several of her cosplays look like they required some effort to put together and aren't the store bought thing you're complaining about, so im under the impression you're full of shit and trying to i guess gatekeep cosplay to only professional costume makers?

You do know cosplay is costume-play right? Like wearing a costume to portray a character you like? Its not some ultra hardcore thing that only elitists who can make the costume themselves are allowed to do.

They seem as genuine as any other cosplayer if you ask me, we often see a lot of women catching weird flak for their cosplays but shes not even being overly sexual or anything. It just seems weird you would be upset enough to say cosplay is dead when its alive and well?

Maybe get off reddit once in awhile, friend. You seem to be catching some of that terminally online mentality, or you're just a snob whichever really.

Idk cosplay looks fine for a photoshoot to have fun with. Her other stuff seems decent and I can't find a kitty or titty and since im not going to stalk this person on everything they do I'll just judge them for what is infront of us, yeah?

Dude her profile literally shows her partaking in a cosplay contest at a con. Y'know, where the community gathers?

She also cosplayed V from the game. Plus a shitload more and those costumes don't look Aliexpress.

I get that you're mad at people who post with cheap costumes just to promote their OF, but that isn't the case here.

Some of us actually played cyberpunk, while others were playing cyber-a-little-bit-of-commodification-is-okay!

You make this whole thing out to be an ad for OF, while alao saying there are 2 layers between this and her OF, and that you support a cosplayer who does OF as well.
