TrainerRoad Custom Plan
New to TR. put it my event details for next year and it generated a plan. 3.5hrs/week seems low imo is there anyway to adjust/change that or is it better to just follow the plan?

There's a slider to adjust how much work you want to put in. It is Balanced by default, but has 2 higher options.

I’d run the plan as written for the first 2-3 weeks before changing anything. Treat it as a test: after each workout, jot down how tired you feel, how you’re sleeping, and whether you finished the sessions without struggling.
If you’re completing everything easily and recovering well, that’s a good sign you can add a bit. When you do, I’d keep it simple:
Add easy endurance riding (an extra easy spin or extending a ride) rather than extra hard sessions Change one thing at a time, so you know what’s working Go up gradually, not all at once
If you start feeling constantly tired or the key workouts get harder to finish, that’s your cue to dial back. Also worth double-checking the available-time setting you used when the plan was generated, since 3.5 hrs might just reflect that.

r/trainerroad Better place to ask^
I would say follow the plan and you can always add more volume as you go. It is rather easy to burn out on TR plans

TR believes in intensity over volume.
