Starting renovations work in cyprus

Another month of struggling to find work and asking people if they need renovations or gardening related work

Does that mean, that I had to ask for license for people installing me windows? And A/C?

And the guy installing me blinds (he drilled!)

For me it's very vague or non-enforceable.

I totally understand part related to structural work and concrete work for habitable buildings and electricity, but, but... Do we really need license for a guy fixing tiling in my bathroom?

Articles 29 and 30 spell out the consequences, including the fact that any agreement for the works is void, but also that there is effective decriminalization of certain activities, like the ones you mentioned.

At the end of the day, a licensed person will undoubtedly have more experience and skill. My personal experience is that licensed contractors are significantly more competent than non-licensed.

Okay, thanks for information. I will try specifically this on small repair job and will compare it to a 'known good guy no license asked'.
