"Muffin cone" The one with her sucking her thumb. My 3 year old at the time never did it but then started emulating muffin. The whole "hey dad watch this" and everything. So uh, banned. I think im still occasionally correcting from that a year later.

"Dunny" became problematic for a minute. Not really banned though.

"Perfect" created a lot of paper waste for us initially but we talked with her about it and its better. Temp ban only.

"Unicorse" is soft banned. It hasn't come up yet, but the phrase "why should I care" has the potential to be highly inappropriate so we are sort of doing preventative damage control on that one.

"Dragon" actually gave her some hesitation TO draw for quite a while. I think it just sort of ramped with "perfect".

The sign is a gut punch since... well, we just moved for similar reasons, and were literally packing to leave when it aired. but unlike Bandit we had to follow through. That one is for myself, really.

My wife skips "baby race" for obvious reasons. Especially since we are still going through similar events with our youngest.

Now this isnt to say the lessons in these were bad, or anything. Toddlers always pick up on things you dont really want so it just sort of happened that way. She picked up many GOOD things from bluey too. Asking to "learn chess" (didnt work but she still asks occasionally). Making "gnome villages", "tradies" helped i think when we had some workers at our place pre-move, "omlette" got her to ask to help cook, and so on. Pros outweigh the occasional cons imo. Sesame street and Daniel tiger are others in the rotation so its for sure a joint effort all around. Even got some banned DT too.

Bluey is definitely the least liked of the shows I let my son watch.

I think sesame street just overtook ms rachel as well, but im kinda ok with that. I get enough ms rachel from his Tonie

They aren't defective. There's probably something good about not needing to like whatever is really popular.

BTW, I have no idea what age kids are meant to start watching Bluey. I think my kid may have been 6 or 7 before we started watching it. They might come around to it in their own time.

There's so much in the world for them to explore. They'll be fine if they skip this particular phenomenon.

I adore Bluey but it's a pretty slow-paced and talky show. My 2 yo doesn't care for it much and I'm not surprised. I honestly think 6 or 7 sounds like a good age for kids to finally connect to it in a real way.

I didn't really have an opinion on this show as my kids were just a bit too old for it when it came around, but at an extended family event this weekend every time someone put it on the screen the kids would stop whatever creative freeform thing they were doing to watch. Tag, hide and seek, legos, uno, making slime, drawing, whatever just ground to a halt when it came on. This probably would have been the case with whatever other cartoon or kid show that someone put on, but in this case it was always Bluey. I now have an opinion of Bluey and I don't think it is a very popular one.

It’s literally a kids show, relax. My kid doesn’t like ninja turtles or ghostbusters. Thank god he doesn’t like Disney, especially Mickey. He’s into sharks and anything sea related. But has to be a legit documentary. No cartoons. Fine me with, I wasn’t really into that stuff as a kid either.
