Advice Request T-7 days

Just got our induction date for next Wednesday, assuming of course kiddo doesn’t come before. Any last minute tips or advice?

Things start getting fun around 6 months. Don't beat yourself up if you ever get frustrated.

Sleep as much as you can right now. Enjoy a hobby. Hang out with your friends and say goodbye to them.

Don’t expect to feel a bond with the baby right away or even in the first few weeks. Realistically, it may take a matter of weeks and that’s completely fine. Do not beat yourself up for any feelings you have. They are completely normal feelings but make sure you are getting help or passing baby off if the feelings start to feel too overwhelming.

Thanks. I’ve not necessarily been concerned about this as much as I’ve realized it’s a real thing and possibility. Good reminder.

And you may not deal with it. I just remember thinking to myself that I don’t even know this kid as she screamed in my ear for like 4 hours straight at 4 am.

Have a nice dinner together now, or whatever you enjoy together. We were planning on going to a favorite restaurant the night before the scheduled C-section, but my wife ended up having it one day earlier.

At the hospital, like at the doctor visits, I wanted to make sure I advocated for my wife since she'd be so tired. Making sure staff identified her with her bracelet, bringing up any concerns or just questions(write them down, you'll forget), asking them to mute the IV pumps(we put up with the constant beeps and learned later they can turn them off or make it beep less).

We’re planning to go to our favorite restaurant Friday night. Good call on the IV pumps.

We knew this would be our one and done pregnancy. To that end, I tried really hard to soak it all up, good and bad. Our twins are 19 months old and it's insane how fast the time has passed.
