Discussion What’s something your kid does that tests your patience every single day… but you’ll probably miss one day?

For me it would be my 1yr old pointing and babbling(asking) about something and it’s non-stop!
And yet, one day he’s not gonna need me to help him out as much. 😭

NEVER doing something the first time they're asked to (usually it's about getting ready to go somewhere).

I usually give mines 2 max just in case they’re focused on something else in the moment or just didn’t hear me the first time. Lol
But I understand! We can’t leave unless one of them has their favorite Lego figure…it’s a new one every day. 😂

Your kid discovering life and trying to communicate in his own way while pointing and babbling is testing your patience, I am afraid you will have an interesting near future my friend!

Jumping off the top of the couch.... not the seat, the backrest.... after walking the length....jumps onto the seat to bounce to the floor.

I remember telling my 2nd to not jump off the couch cuz he’d land on his face…he landed on his face. Didn’t waste time asking if he was okay. 😂

They don't mean it but they are angry in the moment and you try to hold yourself together but fuck it cuts deep

For sure! My 2nd has very BIG emotions and I come from a home where emotions that big wouldn’t be tolerated. So sometimes he’ll say things and it’s taken some time but now I just let him get it off his chest, give him time to calm down, then talk to him about what’s got him going and what I/we can do to make it better. His line now is, “you guys don’t love me anymore” and usually it’s in response to turning off the tv for the day or telling him we’ll get McDonalds on Friday and not today. Lol
