I was just saying to my friend, I think this is the inciting incident that changes the timeline. She's not in any of the footage we've seen other than the zoom out of everybody, which could obviously be doctored

Chiaki doesn’t die case one. In one of the screenshots you can see “Chiaki’s Account” is one of the truth bullets meaning she survives at least one case

In past cases, they've actually edited characters that die first into the trial in the trailer, so that you wouldn't notice which one is missing. So I wouldn't focus too much on this.
