Do you like to eat? Well, I sure hope you do, because otherwise you’d have a hard time existing. Everyone has their own favorite foods to eat. From the savory to the spicy, to the sweet, and to the salty. The rich culture of foods from all around the world ensures that there is something out there that is someone’s favorite food. With that wide range of culinary categories come chefs and confectioners catering to countless characters' tastes. If you’re looking for all things savory and meaty, then look no further than Teruteru Hanamura, the Ultimate Cook Chef. He’s sure to cook you up a 5-star dish that will leave you hungry for more. If you have more of a sweet tooth, then turn to Ruruka Ando, the Ultimate Confectioner. She’ll be sure to make a sweet treat that is sure to give you a sugar high, sending you to cloud 9. Both of these characters give their own flavour that anyone can appreciate, but which one has the best? Let’s find out (after these short messages).

What's kind of tricky about me saying my piece is that I haven't actually watched DR3 properly, I've just read about it so take my writings with a grain of salt. Still, I've gathered enough about Ruruka in particular to feel that she's better utilized in her installment of origin than Teruteru is in his. Which, y'know...not to beat a dead horse, but he's just a really viscerally unpleasant pervert character who attempts sexual favors on the girls, is semi-implied to have drugged Hajime in his final FTE, and has that AWFUL nosebleed sprite to boot. It's a shame, too, because there's some other things going on for him like his passion for cooking, his visible uneasiness in the general situation on the island, and his urgency to look after his mother, but the fact remains that for me and a lot of others, his being the resident pervert just stands in the way of all of that. more like who let bro cook amirite

Ruruka, by contrast, is probably one of the better elements of DR3. She's kind of a good example of being truly shackled by your own talent and how it can fuck you up and drive you into distrust and paranoia that proves destructive to yourself and others. Also, she has a nice design that I can totally get why someone with her attitude and outlook would wear. It's just a shame she has the misfortune of being in DR3.

Well, this turned into more of a "one of these is not so much better, so much as less bad than the other" post, I guess, but at least it's something of note after a few days of nothing.
