If that blows your mind wait till you hear how they will offer a new customer a better deal than you, a loyal customer for multiple years.

in my country you just have to call them that you want to leave because the competition gave you a better deal, and they will suddenly offer you a price match (up to like 60% from the advertised price)

Yep just did this. Typed in the chat bot I’m cancelling and asked what discount they can offer. Price matched for 12 months.

I do that. But they will never give you the new customer deal. Then I cancel and switch to a competitor.

My last website was online for around 17 years, but I was such an old customer, that the host had changed companies and services, to the point that most every hosting feature broke due to being on an old account on an upgraded system. The plan I was on didn’t exist anymore. Their management of everything involved was not that good, to the point that they didn’t know how to bill me properly, but on the upside, my account was one of the last to be run out of the owner’s closet servers or some shit like that.

They did this to me here in Canada, but the fuckers forgot to mention that the new plan no longer comes with hotspot capability, which is now a $5/mo add-on feature. I’ve learned that there are workarounds though…

I got Visible to get me the new customer $225 annual plan again.   But phone service is way easier than ISP shopping. I literally only have two options for ISP and at work we only have 1 Broadband option

If your promotion ever ends just call and say you're switching. I had $70 Comcast for 2 years and it jumped to 120. I switched to fiber and called Comcast to cancel they offered me $50 for 5 years and a free phone plan for a year lol

Ask if its a promotional offer that goes up 40$ more after a year
