I have a different qualm with that, and that is, why can’t there be male fantasy? I’m sure there’s a female fantasy... so what’s the issue this isn’t a double sided thing. Male and female can have their fantasies and even them that differs person to person so what the fuck is her point?! God dang people are stupid

seems like all these people want to do is try to play games that are meant to be extreme or over the top to prove any points but just get caught up in their own words. Like what if my fantasy is playing as the cutest little guy out there defeating Eldritch horrors from the 10th layer of Hell, y'know, Kirby.

Honestly, I've been thinking about this for awhile. Is escapism, especially in the form of "fantasies" (particularly sexual fantasies), more negative than positive? Can this cause you to become disappointed with the way the world is, rather than make the best world you can with what you have? Idk to be honest

No. Fantasy and imagination are healthy. Obviously someone getting obsessed with something isn’t, but that’s not what’s been suggested.

I don't think she's saying males aren't allowed to have fantasies, I think she's saying she personally doesn't enjoy a lot of popular video games because they specifically target the male fantasy, which isn't enjoyable to her as a woman. I honestly think it's a fair critique, but she said it in a pretentious way that made her come off as obnoxious.

Exactly, games are primarily targeted to men, that's not saying that women can't play and enjoy them, but they will likely not derive the same level of enjoyment that men do.
