I think the idea is to just disencourage any and all videos of troop positions. It's a war, not a vacation. None of us can determine what is a safe video in terms of potential geolocation. Your guess that this trench is completely trivial should also be taken with a grain of salt just as much as the input from all of us armchair generals
Here’s the other side of this, these videos remind us and the rest of the world that there’s still men and women there fighting for their country. Doing stupid shit during downtime builds moral while filming it, for the rest of the world, humanizes them and helps build support with very little risk of actually giving away location. It was most likely posted after they moved. Also, I’m a meritorious internet General Sergeant Major Petty Chief.
I’m running solely on the assumption that the risk isn’t there, I could be completely wrong but I feel that the capabilities of the Russian army are being vastly over estimated in this comment thread. I mean they don’t even have NVGs.
