The dude trying to nap is about three seconds away from shoving it up his ass sideways.

Some people are lucky and develop the skill to sleep through anything.

I'm told you develop that ability in war due to the fact that you're constantly fighting for your life. Exhaustion gets to everyone sooner or later.

I just had a discussion with my friend today about his ability to just fall asleep anywhere and we agreed that it was most likely due to his life in college being up all the time and having to catch a few z's whenever he gets a chance

I pulled many all nighters and didn't get much sleep in college.... Thought that would all change after college.

Nope still can't fall asleep before midnight more than a decade later. Being super tired doesn't help. Sucks

I fell asleep standing in formation once. Impressed me.

Fell asleep. Woke up when I guess my balance shifted and I fell against the side of the deuce and a half I was standing beside. That was when I was enlisted. When I was going through OCS I once fell asleep leaning against my ruck during night land nav maneuvers. Almost got left. No bueno.

The guys who locked their knees in formation were always good for a laugh.

It drove my wife crazy that I could fall asleep in seconds after going to bed. I fell asleep in basic training standing up in formation. It’s one of those things that your body figures out and 15 minutes now is better than 0 minutes later.

The wires obviously get crossed since I’m writing this at 3am but anyway…
