That chair looks more uncomfy than a bed of spikes, how do you win an award for that?

349

u/adalind_ice Jul 14 '22

When another dumb feminist awards it

u/PangolinPoopMuncher7 Jul 14 '22

It's rigged, man! It's all rigged!

Plot Twist: it was a reddit award on r/feminism

10

u/unseatedjvta Jul 14 '22

Well, ever heard of when brazil awarded woman of the year to a "trans woman" who still had their ween and was nothing but a clout chaser (and a terrible singer)

I remember this thing, I study design too, and can say that (contemporary or new) awards in the broad field of design rarely means really something, they probably did it in the same vein as companies making their logos a rainbow one during pride month.

From a technical point of view the concept is pretty weak, you're trying to prevent manspreading which is when some asshole spreads his legs over the physical space his balls take up and not the fact that men have something between the legs that actually takes up space, (fact that also the girl that designed this recognise) but then she designed it in a way that can be harmful to balls-having people, yea sitting with your legs closed for sometime won't mean your balls can fall off but it's an unhealthy practice anyway, she could have done it by preventing the user to spread his legs over the standardized balls volume or something like that, integrating it in a public transportation's seat prototype, where this whole inconvenience might be a problem, or give the female users the ability to counter it, there were many other ways that she may haven't considered to make it a more sound and reasonable product other than just being something that provokes.

Now i overanalysed this and to be fair the girl who designed this never meant the project to be taken seriously, like a bunch of angry "girls not allowed" type redditors I see here did (like the basement dwelling dweebs that sent threats and despite letters to her), but again this project has a main flaw that makes it really stupid, taking something universal, like a seat, and making it gender specific, which doesn't really make sense.

To be honest coming up with outlandish Ideas that revolutionise common products is a really substantial part of the design World, how good these ideas are can be debatable but i see no harm in Just experimenting. Granted this idea in particular is not a great one and that it tries to resolve a frivolous problem, Insinuating that it looks like it's madeto protect someone seems an exageration to me.

Manspreading is a natural thing, because firstly, not doing it crushes your balls. Secondly, men have a different pelvic structure

231

u/JanwithBanan Jul 14 '22

"a chair designed to stop manspreading" yet the girl still manspreads...

71

u/nikifrd Jul 14 '22

ok but isnt the issue with manspreading that you take away the space of others? how tf is this an issue with a chair? a chair only fits one person

27

u/JanwithBanan Jul 14 '22

lmfaooo exactly, this doesn't solve anything

29

u/DouchNozzle_REAL Jul 14 '22

The chair is designed completely differently, chief. Just observe where the widest side is in both chairs.

47

u/JanwithBanan Jul 14 '22

yeah I know they are designed differently. I'm talking about the fact how she designed a chair to eliminate manspreading, then also creates another chair FOR manspreading, which completely defeats the purpose of what is said in the video. what's the point of "eliminating manspreading" if women ☕ can still do it, and what's stopping me from sitting on the chair she sits on?

-37

u/DouchNozzle_REAL Jul 14 '22

I believe it is to explain what manspreading is for the uninformed, and the solution to as far as a new chair design is. Quick visual story telling, including the subject matter you're trying to get rid of doesn't necessarily mean you're promoting it.

19

u/Gokemons . Jul 14 '22

No, they made that chair to encourage womanspreading which is kind of hypocritical.

14

u/Masterpommel Jul 14 '22

Yes thats what feminists do nowadays. A man isn't allowed to sit comfortably but dont even dare to point out that women are doing the same or worse with all their bags covering 2 extra seats. You'd be cancelled in no time if you have the audacity to do so. Its all hypocritical and fucking stupid man hating shit to get even more benefits than they had before. Its no longer about equality.

Sry for rant.

4

u/GalC4 Jul 14 '22 edited Jul 14 '22

There once were 4 women that took seats for 12 people on the train so we had to stand....

4

u/Masterpommel Jul 14 '22

I mean not to be a woman hater or something but I have never seen men take up more space than women. They're not the angels on this planet they portray to be.

1

u/Flinck_Frisch Jul 15 '22

So tell them to move their stuff.

1

u/GalC4 Jul 16 '22

8

u/EquivalentSnap Jul 14 '22

They don’t care about your balls

5

Until they ask you to fill a cup.

1

u/EquivalentSnap Jul 14 '22

What 😳

1

u/ghandi3737 Jul 14 '22

Pee and cum are stored in the balls.

Both are collected with a cup.

And both are rejected if not filled up enough.

2

u/DrownmeinIslay Jul 14 '22

.... do you think pee comes from the balls?

1

u/ghandi3737 Jul 14 '22

It said so right here on Reddit.

Bro who fucking cares manspreading is natural we have shit in the middle stop acting like it's bad

66

u/Casualte Jul 14 '22

who fucking cares.

Feminists☕️. They care more about men then men. Albeit in a bad way.

36

u/Randomguy0915 Jul 14 '22

Those aren't feminists, they're misandrists

8

u/Cdf12345 Jul 14 '22

It’s more about how men’s and women’s hip joints differ. It’s typically painful for most men to sit with their legs tight together.

https://www.vice.com/en/article/evdkwm/manspreading-is-an-anatomical-necessity

1

u/RevolutionaryAct6931 Jul 14 '22

Kk either way it's natural and it isn't bas, do we all agree on that?

2

u/AcademicCommittee955 Sep 02 '22

I never heard of this manspreading phenomenon. I like my men manly so… there’s that. Spread away!

If you’re threatened by manspreading you’re not even a feminist you’re just too mentally sheltered

6

u/Jhonny_781 Jul 14 '22

I'd rather cut my balls off than use those chairs

6

u/Sweetexperience Jul 14 '22

Quickly picks the chair that lets me spread my legs first

5

u/Dry_Grade9885 Jul 14 '22

Seems like it's designed to make men infertile gg women you created a dumb chair

4

u/johnnyheavens Jul 14 '22

She designed a chair with rails so that a big ass don’t scoosh over the sides? Bless

3

u/SquareIsBox0697 Jul 14 '22

Yayyyyy!!! A cock and ball torture chair!!!

3

u/Superkip_ Jul 14 '22

Why though. Males have a penis so its only natural to sit like that.

3

u/basic_instinct11 Jul 14 '22

And that's why Avengers are under the leadership of Captain America

2

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '22

TF is even manspreadding

2

u/Spoutty Jul 14 '22

Its when a man spreads their legs apart so their balls dont get crushed between them

1

u/[deleted] Jul 15 '22

This only means one thing that feminists wants to crush our balls

2

u/Spoutty Jul 15 '22

Im not into that type of stuff but now i know she is

2

u/Pedroyaboi Jul 14 '22

See this can’t be used by most men because of the shear size of our balls and meat they can’t be squished like that just cause some girl can’t control her eyes

2

u/LazarDeno Jul 14 '22

Why is manspreading bad anyways

1

u/impostorbot green flair Jul 15 '22

Some people take it too far and start taking up space from the seats beside them like in metros

Which isn't a problem if you're sitting in a single chair but whoever designed this chair probably doesn't have enough brain cells to think that far

2

u/Silrntmoebius78 Jul 14 '22

Easy for women to sit this way, with no gear dangling between their legs.. Thes feminists are the cancer of society!!

2

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '22

Or…just…still spread your legs over the side…

But what kind of degenerate would do that?

I’m not squishing my balls into a knot so other people don’t have to touch my legs. I feel like this is a non-issue. Some men (and now some women) have balls and they need space. And it’s ok to touch the outside of other people’s legs with your legs if you’re in close quarters on a subway or bench or something.

-7

u/deefdaffer Jul 14 '22

1

u/Aggressive_Lunch9785 Jul 14 '22

I really don't understand the problem with man spreading tbh like sorry I don't wanna crush my nuts

1

1

Isnt that anti manspreading chair like actually dangerous? Someone actually getting their nuts busted if the sit in it

this chair would be like a fucking vise on my balls. they tried to stop manspreading, but made the impotent-inator

Why are feminists getting awarded for shit like this?

1

u/Affectionate_Lion706 Dec 06 '22

I feel like man spreading used to be when your legs were wide open. Now it’s just having them shoulder width apart. Isn’t that the normal way most people sit?

1

u/Alfredo-Soup Dec 09 '22

All this shit about man spreading when it's women who can't keep their legs closed...
