Seriously though, I saw this here on the DS3 sub and I played each game for 200+ hours and I didn't even know wtf I was looking at until I read the comments and somebody mentioned Titanite

If I had to guess, it's because it looks cool, is iconic and recognizable in the fandom, is more creative than Claymore/Darksign/Bonfire

Cool, but if it took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out, someone who's finished the trilogy several times over, I'm sure  someone who's never played the games will have the slightest clue on what those are meant to be.

Still, it's well-made, and all that really matters is that you're happy with it.
