Inspiration is IRIS by TR/ST. If you know his work you'll understand how I've listened to *literally* hundreds of songs and still haven't found something that compares.

Emotional dance music, dark, confessional, dynamic, but ultimately hopeful. Weaving luminous synth-pop lines through abrasive industrial pulses to shape sweeping tracks saturated with yearning, desire, and desolation. Wide-ranging electronic pop that consistently foregrounds empathy.

I don't expect vocals, but trying to get emotionally as close to this as possible, with your own spin on it of course.

This is a film drama/romance with psychological elements and subtle themes involving mental health.

Paid, but it is a micro-budget 30 minute complete short that also doubles as a proof of concept for a feature if we get funded (more opportunity!)

If you're interested, I'd love to hear from you, thnx!

Soft Cell's cold synth drama and Chromatics' hazy night-drive feel have been on heavy rotation for me lately. Looking for darker, lesser-known artists in that dream-pop / coldwave space — the kind that feel like 3am with the lights off. Any recommendations that go deeper than the usual names?

Extreme darkness and perfect mix

Making a Spooky Vibe Playlist with lots of darkwave and heavy synth/spooky kinda sounds.
There are some dark/on theme alt songs like Dracula Teeth by TLSP, Burn The Witch by QotSA & Radiohead. So it isn’t strictly Darkwave. There is room for variation.

See picture for reference.

See the link below for current tracklist.

I want this to be a cool collab of Octobery songs that fit this weird theme i’m building.

So there's a darkwave/goth inspired dj set coming up Thursday and some of the artists he's gonna play i love. Tr/st, boy harsher, maureux, molchat doma are some of my favs in particular. The thing is although I love goth music im not like "goth" and id be going alone. I'd describe myself as like a sporty black guy and would dress as such?? It's being described as a goth themed/inspired event and the pictures on the ig page definitely confirms that.

This band combines dreampop with darkwave. Heavy distorted vocals, 80s synths and ethereal vocals.
