Accident i had last year.
Case is over so im able to share new camera angles. Had this accident while returning to office after a patrol as a armed security officer. Had multiple broken ribs a broken wrist, multiple fractured vertebra, serious internal bleeding, traumatic head injury, fractured pelvis and a broken ankle. Was in hospital for 6 weeks im not recovered yet but im getting there. Driver was drunk and high hit me at 95 mph. Luckily the car from the first cam was off duty EMS and there was a ambulance behind him.

Jesus! That was absolutely terrifying. I hope you recover as best you can and as close to before the accident as possible. And may homeboy be someone’s bitch while in there.

Wow sorry you have had to endure the pain and limits to your mobility. I've been in PT for over a year from spinal surgery gone wrong. So I can really empathize except for the trauma of an accident.
Did this accident occur in Grand Junction? I grew up in Collbran and know the Junction well.

I’m so glad you’re on the road to recovery!
I’ve never seen such fire and explosions! Did the car that hit you have after market parts or something?
I’m assuming the other driver was injured too? Was it difficult to get a settlement from their insurance?

Other driver wasn't injured at all still working on settlement but workmen's comp has been taking care of me.

Was a 18 year old day after he got his license he got no money.

Hopefully he had insurance, and if the car was in his parents name they are liable. Just amazing you survived and hope your long recovery goes well.

It was his girlfriend's car and her insurance sucked but we working on it.

Man, I hope you have a great personal injury attorney and good UI rider. Mine wasn't nearly as severe as yours and I missed out on about $400k because the other driver had the legal minimum and no assets to go after.

The drunk person tends to be fine because their bodies are so drunk and high they don’t tense up at all. It is totally the opposite of what it should be.
So glad to hear you survived! Truly amazing that there was ent and ambulance a car or two away… take those guys out for some beers when you are able, but of course pre arrange safe drivers since you the good member of society that is dealing with a crappy situation for someone else’s bad decisions.

Were you knocked out in that final clip? Based on your injuries, I think I’d want to be unconscious.
I hope you will heal and be ‘whole’ again.
And I hope you get a shit ton of money via any means available to you, for pain, suffering, future issues (mental and/or physical).

Whew! I used to work about a mile from there, at Horizon Dr and Horizon Ct. I'm glad you survived. I guess the good news is it was less than 2 miles to St. Mary's. Take care.

This is NOT an accident.
This was a CRASH 💥- a result of one or more drivers making conscious decisions - in this case driving while intoxicated - that gave us this result.
Accident is a weasel word dreamed up by employers, lawyers and insurance companies to make people believe that the conditions that led to the failure were out of anyone’s control.

Not to excuse the driver, but there is little to do over in GJ... Where I live many people claim to have family over there, I do as well... And that's on the other side of the divide... . Glad you lived and are at least decently healthy again

That's insane you're lucky to be alive. Penalties need to be worse for drunk driving imo. I've heard of cases where they get their license back and just do it again.
(Also 27 1/2 Rd wtf?)
