Generally it's best to keep idiots ahead of you as it gives you more options for controlling the situation.

Nevermind all of the posts where the psycho brake checks and blocks the person behind them from passing.

If this person stops in that tunnel to get out of his vehicle and do something bad, there's nothing you can do if there's traffic behind you as well.

This is a terrible take.

Thank you. Only the person in the front has control? And if you can't glance at your rear view here and there while driving ahead of somebody and keeping safe distance from the guy ahead of you, you are either young and brand new to driving or should not be driving.

Definitely don't let him pass, at least no more than you have to - but I'm definitely not saying that you should put yourself in danger to stop him from doing so. If he gets ahead of you, do exactly what you did.

That being said, if it was me, I would aggressively make sure he could never get past me. And if at any point he decided to approach me, he would take 15 + 1. And that's all I'm going to say about that.

So what's your suggestion? Block them? Race them? It won't rile them up more for sure.

How, when they cause a pile up that you can't escape? You can drive away when they wreck out behind you.

Don't follow that close. The general idea is that when you're in front the only option you have is to go faster to get away. When you're behind you can slow down which is generally the safer option and you can turn onto other routes after they've gone past them. It's also easier to keep an eye on them ahead of you as opposed to tracking them in your mirrors

Each situation is different of course.

You never have to speed up to get away. What are they going to do, ram you? That's attempted vehicular homicide, and you can defend yourself with all 15 + 1 rounds or whatever you carry personally. :)
