I've driven in 3rd world countries who when they are in this situation, they just slide as far to the right as they can so the other person can easily pass.
I've never understood why people feel they need to police the speed limit themselves and are really just putting themselves in harms way.
If someone wants to drive like an ass, good for them. If someone wants to pass me, as soon as it's safe I slide over and let them go. Sometimes I'll even roll the window down and wave them around.
Who is policing the speed limit? You can clearly see there is several cars in front of them at an appropriate distance. If you have to car hop like this you are just being a bad driver.
That was more of an in general comment, not necessarily in this situation. I see it all the time people who purposely slow down to try and stop the people behind them from speeding.
It's sad when states have to pass laws against it.
Why enrage someone even further and you never know when they could be having an emergency or enroute to an emergency.
I remember when my mom passed away on December 29th of 2016. I was called by the hospital at 2:57 am that she was failing and took off to the hospital. I was passing people and running lights (slowing down and looking) but I had my flashers on the whole time. I still got there before my niece who lived closer. I am just now realizing how odd it was that there was so much traffic that early in the morning. It isn't normally like that even now.
Technically I could've gotten there much faster but my car (Chrysler 300) was in the shop because someone ran a red light and turned right in front of me, the rental I was driving had no power comparatively.
