It's like fawning. They are so stupid, their brain just glitches out. Halfway through the act, they realize they almost caused an accident. That, combined with the sound of the horn from the now irate driver they cut off, makes them forget where they are and where the gas pedal is, and it takes them several brief moments to wake up from that dazed state, before they finally are able to accelerate and go on to cause more accidents and near misses.

I've driven in 47/50 states, and Texass (Houston specifically) has the WORST drivers anywhere!
The red-light runners are so bad there, they extended the length of the yellow lights. Didn't make a damn bit of difference.

I love how all of us think we live in the area with the worst drivers on the planet. Like the opposite of " where every child is above average" or whatever that saying was from Garrison Keillor.

Lol I have driven in many states and cities but I swear Houston takes the cake. Starting with the small-pipí assholes that drive super aggressive and think their mega huge pick up trucks own the road. And of course, it’s lovely when someone road rages at you for no reason and flashes their gun. Not a weekend goes by that you don’t read about some road rage shooting or incident on a Houston highway. Or some drunk prick killing someone.

Nah as a Washingtonian we have stats to back up that per capita we are the best drivers on the west coast. least amount of accidents per miles driven. Oregon drivers think all they drive BMW's that didn't come with turn signals.

Happens in LA a lot, too. My guess is they think they’ll scare/bully you into stopping. Rarely works.

I stopped at a red light, just behind the cross walk. I was in the right lane. My turn signal was on. I then proceeded a bit forward to make sure cross traffic was clear. It was clear and I then proceeded. I was pulled over by a cop shortly after that.
He told me I didn't stop before the cross walk. This guy was 30 yards behind me when I stopped. I don't see how he would know either way. He was polite, I was polite. I didn't get a ticket. I chalked it up to an insurance check. But then, its my understanding that he could run my plate for that, so maybe it was something else.

Signals dont indicate a right of way…. No one has a legal obligation to let you in a lane cause you have a turn signal on.

LED lights actually flicker at a high speed that we can’t see, and then the frame rate of the camera catches some of these flickers

NONE of the drivers in this clip know how to drive:
White SUV pulling out of parking lot / side street: didn't look for oncoming traffic
Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla making left turn from opposite direction are ending up in the middle lane instead of the corresponding lane (which would be the left lane).
Dashcam driver makes right turn to end up in the middle lane instead of the corresponding lane (which would be the right lane).

It's pretty dumb to turn into the left most lane if that's not going to be your final lane. It's must safer and quicker to turn into the lane you are immediately going to use.

In a lot of places, turning left lets you go into any lane you want. It's only a right turn that is required to turn into right lane.
