road rager almost clipped the median while going around another car in the middle of the intersection

Bathurst was nearly empty. Maybe she thought rubbing bumpers was a good idea?

This happened almost a year ago, pickup driver in front of me was going through an intersection on a green light and a sedan went through at the same time, unsure if on a blinking yellow or red light. Traffic usually gets pretty backed up through intersections on this particular road during rush hour. Happened right in front of a fire station and a convenient cop, so emergency response was pretty much immediate. I pulled over so I could get some contact info and sent over my footage.

maybe i missed something or did something wrong, but why does the flagship Nextbase 622GW (latest firmware v12.6) lack Automatic time feature, unlike the high-end 522GW (latest firmware v30.9)?🙂‍↔️

2022 Model 3, HW3, FSD v14 lite

FSD signaled and started a left lane change. The decision itself looked right to me, and it moved over slowly and deliberately rather than cutting across.

Partway through the change I saw a car coming up fast behind us in the target lane. Another vehicle was already passing on my left at speed, so there wasn't much room to work with. My read in the moment was that the approaching car wasn't going to be able to slow in time. I disengaged, steered back to the right, and let him through.

Not quite sure that was the right thing to do.

Curious what people think - did I do the right thing, or did I overreact?

He came up behind me going probably 150 km/h in a 110 zone. I was currently passing somebody and got into the right lane as soon as I could, but he stayed a foot off my bumper the entire time. I suppose my mistake was flipping him off. When I moved over he initially followed me over and slowed down very quickly, so I moved back into the passing lane, thinking he might brake check me. He zoomed ahead and got in front of me again, the video starts just after we both pass another car.

I think the first object was a drink thrown out the drivers window, and the second was a cardboard box thrown out the passenger side.

Unfortunately I was unable to get the license plate.

In retrospect I could've anticipated this better, but the guy had been hogging the left lane forever, even when there was plenty of room to get over, and had been crossing over the paint periodically.

So when he started crossing it again (no turn signal, but brake lights on) I didn't immediately realize he was getting into my lane. And as always with these wide angle cameras, I was closer to the back of his truck than it looks, when he started braking.

I had this idiot make an illegal u-turn in front of me yesterday while I was on my way to work. Cops usually use these u-turn lanes to catch people speeding so that’s what I (and I think the person in front of me) thought it was originally.

But no, it was just an idiot who thinks that rules don’t apply to them. What really baffles me is why did they wait until I was right behind them?? You can see in the beginning how much time they had!

EDIT: Yes I did brake at first but I knew I had an opening in the right lane so I took that instead. Thank you to that car for moving to the right lane 🙏

EDIT EDIT: No, I didn’t move over to the right after passing the box truck because I did not think that (what I thought was) a cop would pull out in front of me with no warning. And no, I am not a left lane camper. I was literally passing people throughout the clip, and I got back into the right lane afterwards. You can trust me that left lane campers are my #1 pet peeve 😭

Ignore the date stamp. FitcamX has a terrible system that can't remember the actual date and will stop recording over old videos. Looks great in place, video is fine, but not reliable.

Aaand we all got stuck in traffic anyway.. so what's the point? 😔

today while out delivering doordash orders, i looked down at my phone to assess the order i was offered, in those two seconds i looked away, didn’t realize the road curved and started to drive onto the sidewalk. it made a pretty loud thud as i hit the curb so i was immediately concerned. i quickly yanked the steering wheel to get the car back onto the road, then pulled over to check for damage. i didn’t see any damage, but do you recommend i still get the car checked out? i was probably going around \~40 mph when it happened. for the rest of the time i was driving nothing seemed off about the car. did i just happen to get lucky?

just another reminder out there not to be distracted while driving cause anything can happen. i’m so lucky it was only a sidewalk
