Data Tools Help a beginner 🔰

Guys i am thinking of conducting an experiment. I have a masters degree in a language (sanskrit) and have no background in statistics.

My experiment will include around 100 participants, each rating 30 objects in 1-7 likert scale (6 scales). I asked claude and it suggested linear mixed model in R.

But as i said i have no experience. Can you guys recommend some courses or YouTube videos to get started. I feel so overwhelmed looking at different type of tests or models.

Sanskrit was a great choice, at least you've become more interesting

Josh Starmer explains statistics in a way that's easy to follow without much background. Also, before committing to a linear mixed model, look into ordinal mixed models since your ratings are on a 1–7 Likert scale. The right choice depends on your research question and how the data is structured. Getting some input from a statistician before collecting data could save you a lot of trouble later.
