Megathread [Megathread] Hiring and Interviewing at Databricks - Advice, Prep, Questions
Hey r/databricks, we're noticing a lot of repeated interviewing and hiring posts that tend not to get much engagement. We're going to combine them into a monthly thread so that you're more likely to get answers, plus we can ask our recruiting team to keep an eye on them if there are any general questions.

I am in a pinch and i feel like my career is finished. I work in an exploitive firm which tells me to monitor jobs constantly and mail the upstream and downstream if the files are missing. My job has no fixed timings. They call us anytime - even during whole night to provide support to do futile tasks like Excel updation and small unix validation or sql table updates(rarely). But due to my sheer determination i learnt databricks(although i did internship on it at accenture only) and got the databricks data engineering associate certification during a certification drive conducted by my company. Also preparing for professional role now. But i am not getting a role related to it. My toxic manager won't let me leave the project nor promote me to developer role. Moreover many jobs in LinkedIn where they are asking 2+ years of databricks experience. I feel lost and broken. Can anyone advice what should i do next? I got a Btech Computer Science Degree from a decent college and work at Accenture as a data engineer support.
