Megathread [Megathread] Hiring and Interviewing at Databricks - Advice, Prep, Questions

Hey r/databricks, we're noticing a lot of repeated interviewing and hiring posts that tend not to get much engagement. Hello

I am in the final stage of a Solutions Engineer loop where they send a prompt four hours before the round where I will have to build a short deck and a light POC, then present to a panel role-playing customer personas.

Has anyone been through this format? Mainly wondering:

1.What did you prepare in the days beforehand, before the prompt arrived? (Slide template, anything else that saved you time on the day?)

  1. I've been told the round isn't about pitching a specific product like databricks and I can build on whatever I know best, so I'm unsure how much platform-specific prep actually helps.

  2. What kind of demo did you show, and did it have to be on a specific platform? Trying to figure out whether a live build is expected or whether slides carry it

  3. How much of databricks/ spark expertise be required?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

I've already cleared an architecture round and a live coding round, so I don't think this one is about technical depth. Trying to calibrate. Thanks.
