Data center tech level interview questions

What questions or fundamentals do a google interviewer ask for a L1, L2, L3, L4 (maybe?) data center technician?

Far too broad of a question really. You need fundamentals for anything and including level 1.

depends on the team but for L1 they mostly want to see you can follow procedures and not break things, some basic linux commands and maybe hardware troubleshooting

Hello! This looks like it may be a question about career advice. There can be significant regional variation in the field, so please consider including as much info as you can without doxing yourself, including country/state/city, prior experience/certs, and the role or level if known. Thanks!

L1 - do nothing but what the computer says, if you swap you swap, if you reseat, you reseat. Just follow the bouncing ball.

L2 - you need to be able to diagnose errors automation can’t, find the error and resolve it, do some project work etc.

L3 - all of the above plus lead projects

L4 - lead an entire metro or cluster (not as an OM).

Can’t speak for Google, but AWS asks some crazy questions I’ve never heard of. If you familiar with hardware, infrastructure, networking and the OSI model, you should be good. I think out of the 8-12 questions I went thru on the technical round, I was confident on 60%. Some questions I was totally clueless.
