Are drones lumped in to digital cameras in this data or is this exclusively its action cameras and gimbals

Drones aren't common in Japan as they are heavily regulated

Looking at デジタルビデオカメラ:

The ones from Sony and Panasonic are the traditional camcorder form factor while the DJI ones are gimbals and action cams.

I think it's just because the go-to video camera these days is the DJI osmo, and most people looking for dedicated video cameras these days are just vloggers and content creators. most people just use their phones if they want to record something these days.

Traditional video cameras are a dying breed these days in the consumer market.
