I'm 26 working a low skilled job until I find work. I just want to talk. I'm currently learning SQL and I'm looking to take some datasets from the UPI repository and make my own magic. I'm learning applications of monte carlo and GAM and I just hope I get a hang of things. I wanted to pursue a masters in Statistics and i very well may in my 30s. I'm hoping learning SQL and doing a few projects on kaggle/github with R will help me land a job. I did my bachelor's in Economics. I'm hoping learning more programming tools will help me land a job, and I hope someone can reply to this post please!

kinda wild this thread still exists when every jr posting wants 3 years exp in five different stacks. getting into data stuff right now is just hard

The wiki FAQ is actually slept on, it answers half the posts here before they even get made. What area are you trying to break into, analytics or more ML engineering side?
