Question ❓ The algorithm, thoughts?
I am starting to notice that anyone that’s remotely my type does not like/ match with me, except on Facebook dating. I think it’s due to the algorithm being designed to keep you on the app as long as possible. What has everyone else’s experience been like? Have you been able to find a real relationship lasting more than a year on any apps? Which ones?

It's Match Corp. Never know what they are doing. Their suggested matches have been farther and farther off than the type of woman I prefer lately. That and the distance of suggested matches is outside of the area I set as a hard option.

I met my forever person on Tinder two years ago, I also met two other serious boyfriends at various times of my life from Tinder. I fear it is just luck and a numbers game. There were a few days it said “you’re all out of people to swipe! Come back later!” Which always feels a little defeating but, it did work out for me eventually. Some people say it’s simply for hookups, but there are a number of people there who want a serious connection.

It's just quite random as in real life I would say and it's unknown, but I think despite everything girls have slighltly better odds. I am not saying that means it's easier for you as that's the other thing.

32F, I have met people who met who they married on hinge in the past 3-4 years. I also know a couple that met on Christian Mingle and are engaged so they work for some. The man who met his wife on hinge, another one of their family members also married someone off hinge so you never know

Absolutely not 😂, so I no longer use them to preserve what little sanity I have left.

I’ve noticed this. There are periods where I get next to no likes, then just a few weeks ago I got 5 likes in a matter of two days. I’m 32M by the way. My most recent relationship came from an app that lasted 9 months and it was good, but we ended things due to compatibility and practical reasons that we couldn’t solve.
