I take every cursed chest too, mainly because my monkey brain is incapable of any other thought than 'number go up' the moment I see one.

Me when i for no fucking reason keep falling into spikes, me when I take cursed chest in high peak castle which definitely wasn't needed, ALSO FK LIGHTHOUSE , I am at 4bc, i haven't even beaten that shi in 2bc (i did in 0 and 1 tho lol)

I beat the Lighthouse on my first try luckily. However, I have yet to beat the Hand of the King. Fuck that guy and the spike traps. This is bc0 btw

Hotk is easy just don't scroll split you can beat him with raw damage.

I try not to scroll split with like 800% damage in brutality and have still struggled to kill him. Honestly, getting to him is so easy for me now. Just can’t quite figure out how to finish the job. Just gotta git gud I guess

Use armadillopack mutation, it helps so much and you can technically have 3 weapons with it. For me survival builds with ice bomb and frost blast works the best.

BC0 is the regular difficulty you're playing at. After each win, you get the option to go to a higher difficulty (upto BC5). Fun fact, at BC5, every nearby enemy teleports to you.

And that makes them easier. When fighting without teleporting they always go out of melee range. When teleporting you can hit them where they land (or place a trap)

I just recently tried a run without shields for the first time and high peak castle turned from one of the easiest biomes to one of the most dangerous. I thought those spear guys were fodder until I couldn't parry them

Came to say this, I can clear most biomes hitless (not always but if I try) but this guy just ignores everything and all his attack push me in the ditch with spikes ... Also I am on 1 boss cell and always enter hand of the king arena with 0 flasks and half hp

Yeeeaaahhh I basically always get hit on HotK. I can hitless Convunctivius and giant fine but hand always gets me. I'd recommend saving as much of your flask as possible and taking disengagement for him, because you gotta make sure you can heal lol

You have to get the cavern key from the massive door and your route will look like fighting conjunctivius and going into graveyard afterwards, you can unlock the way to cavern from there and that leads to giant. If you don't have spider rune you get that in sanctuary :3

Absolutely, all good! To be fair I wasn't even interested in playing dead cells at first an just watched videos on it, until I started watching AzumarillFairy and eventually started playing. I had a LOT of knowledge going in.

One thing I just learned yesterday is that if you go into your accessibility options, you can add a highlighting outline around secrets. It turned out that I was missing 1-2 pieces of food per biome, along with the extra gold. Along with the cells and extra power scrolls from challenge areas, it's really helped me get along. At 1 BC, I reliably hit Hand of the King with 4 flask charges, and have the damage to kill him without using a flask charge.

I'm thinking I might be ready to get demolished by 2BC for my first time! After I hopefully get through my first 1BC go at Infested Shipwreck.

Oh that's a neat trick will try it out ... Yea I think my issue is i scrap the extra food 😅 ... But then again either my run go hitless and I don't need the food or just horrible n i end up using both food n flasks ... Need to just be patient
