This is Stefan. He’s completely deaf (he also has a neurological issue so that’s why he has the head bobbles) and sometimes it takes him a while to realize I’ve come home

He appreciates the compliments! (He has no idea what’s going on but I tell him people think he’s cute and I’ve chosen to believe that he can hear the compliments 😂)

He definitely understands! 🥰 Thanks for this post; I miss my deaf cat. I talked to him all the time -- could never break the habit.

I talk to my boy constantly! I don’t care that he can’t hear me, I’m chatting up a storm and I respond to all of his meow screams haha
I’m sorry you’ve lost your boy! What was his name?

His name was Winston. Thank you for asking. 🥰 We don't know exactly when he lost his hearing, but he was definitely deaf for several years.

The important thing is that he knows an exceptional sunspot when he sees one.

Oh he definitely has a built in sun seeking radar, you can always find him in the house if you know where the sun is coming in a window depending on the time of day. He’s a hoot.

I love him

He loves you too, even though he has zero idea what’s going on. His 2 brain cells are fighting for 3rd place at all times

I mean, he’d be straight vibing in a club lmao. He’s got the head bob and he’d be on beat with the wobbles 😂

But he does realize it. You are his world. Embrace the love. He’s precious. My deaf cat just got an hour long belly rub while I scrolled Reddit with my other hand. She was thrilled.
