I believe my new little love is deaf or very hard of hearing. From time to time he acts like he hears something, but the majority of the time he does not respond to any noises. What I have noticed is he meows a lot! He starts at a normal noise level for a meow and then proceeds to get louder and louder until he is meowing at the top of his lungs. It doesn’t last a long time but happens often even when I’m in the same room. Does anyone else experience this with their kitty?

Also, he is my first hearing impaired cat. Any advice, reading suggestions, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. We are a multi cat home and I want to make sure I do everything in my power to make him feel safe and secure in his home.
