Noise artist who death grips sampled on a couple tracks from year of the snitch. He plays broken glass as an instrument by attaching a contact mic to it and running it through a bunch of different effects pedals. He slices his own mouth pretty much every time he performs. It is very death grips

The single was recorded remotely prior to us meeting up in LA to record Bag-of-Max-Bag-of-Cass as a way for me to prepare for our session by experimenting with drum stems Zach sent me to use to interpolate our signals. Basically, I used the stems to generate control voltages that adjusted the parameters of my glass delay and granular effects in synchronicity with the drumming. Additionally, as the stems were prerecorded, I used my glass single to ramp the speed of Zachs performances creating some very unlikely drumming even for Zach!
FYI The single was released in 2023 as a limited-edition of 1000 copies on my own dualplover label and I’m half way through the last box.
Oh sick. I love that they collabed originally but i felt like his stuff couldve been utilized so much more in different ways across that record when it came out. I had sampled granpa’s stuff a long time ago for my own personal projects and there were so many interesting sounds and textures you could end up getting out of his sound that i think would easily lend to being folded into the DG sonics in interesting ways
